Future Composites offer various sizes of commercial and aerospace grade honeycomb core mateirals, such as PMI, PVC, PP, Nomex core and Aluminum core, which can be cut into sheets and shapes by 5-axial CNC machining.
These materials are designed to be sandwiched between two skins of material to create a sandwich panel. By creating a gap between the two outer layers and preventing relative movement between them, a huge mechanical advantage can be gained, resulting in a very stiff panel with very little increase in weight.
