What is Filament Wound Fiberglass Tube
Fiberglass filament wound tubes are fabricated by wounding fiberglass filaments and epoxy resin around a mandrel (similar to roll wrapping carbon tubing), and then curing them in the oven to get a rigid carbon tubes.
The layup angle and number of layers can be controlled by computer to meet different pressure levels. Due to the light weight, corrosion resistance and non-conductive properties of glass fiber, it is widely used in water diversion, pipeline transportation and seawater desalination.
