Future operates a fully in-house manufacturing in-house system for carbon fiber hoods, including tooling, layup, and clear coating processes. This allows strictly control of surface quality and production lead time. We produce lightweight dry and wet custom carbon hoods for vented, racing, and OEM style application.

We currently keep more than 100 hood molds in stock, fitting BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Cadillac, Mustang and Tesla OEM brands and so on.

Our production methods include vacuum infusion, vacuum bagging and autoclave molding. We can offer different production solutions to match your specific requirements.

If you are moving a low-volume sports car or super racing car programme from prototype stage into scale production, this will be your optimal solution。We make high-temperature FRP mold by 3D printing parts, you can put a low tooling investment to verify. And this technique can realize one tooling platform for both dry & wet carbon hoods. You can start with the wet carbon and upgrade to dry carbon as an option to your end user.

3K twill, V-shaped 3K twill, plain weave, forged carbon, spread two and hybrid colored carbon – Kevlar options are available.

For the same design, dry carbon bonnet is typically 20-40% lighter than dry carbon bonnet, depending on the laminate structure and the reinforcement design.

How will you reinforce the hoods?

The latch and hinge mounting points are reinforced with embedded metal inserts to achieve OEM-level strength and stability.

How do you pack and ship the hoods?

Custom foam protection, reinforced cartons and plywood crates are used for safe package, with DDP shipping by sea & by air to the USA, Europe, Middle East and Southeast Asia.
